Noble House Construction

Before & After: Bringing a Thoughtful Kitchen Remodel to Life

A successful renovation is rarely the work of just one person. It takes a clear vision, thoughtful planning, skilled craftsmanship, and strong collaboration between homeowners, designers, architects, and builders.

The Stewart Residence is a perfect example. With a beautiful design created by talented architect Patti Buser, Noble House Construction was brought in to turn that vision into reality. The result is a dramatic kitchen transformation that reflects both the original design intent and the craftsmanship required to bring every detail to life.

The Existing Space

The original kitchen had strong architectural character and beautiful natural light, but its layout and finishes reflected an earlier era. Traditional cabinetry, aging materials, and a large central masonry feature made the space feel more enclosed and limited its functionality.

The transformation envisioned for the Stewart Residence was significant: create a brighter, more open and functional kitchen while maintaining the warmth and character of the home.

A Vision Designed by Patti Buser

Architect Patti Buser developed the plans for the Stewart Residence remodel, establishing the vision that would guide the transformation.

The new kitchen called for clean lines, warm natural materials, generous workspaces, and a stronger connection between the kitchen and surrounding areas of the home.

Key elements of Patti’s design included:

  • Custom wood cabinetry with clean, modern lines
  • Expansive countertops offering generous workspace
  • A large central island for gathering and entertaining
  • Updated appliances and thoughtfully integrated storage
  • Contemporary finishes that complement the home’s natural surroundings ● Improved circulation and functionality throughout the kitchen

With the design established, Noble House Construction’s role was to carefully execute that vision and navigate the many details required to take the project from plans on paper to a finished home.

Turning the Design Into Reality

A remodel of this scope requires much more than simply installing new finishes. Successful construction depends on careful coordination, problem-solving, precision, and an understanding of how each decision affects the finished space.

Throughout the Stewart Residence remodel, Noble House Construction worked closely with the architect, homeowners, tradespeople, and project team to ensure the design intent was maintained throughout construction.

From executing the custom details to coordinating materials and installations, the focus remained on craftsmanship and thoughtful implementation at every stage.

That collaboration was an essential part of the project’s success. Patti brought the architectural vision; the homeowners brought their goals and perspective; and Noble House brought the construction expertise needed to make that vision tangible.

Craftsmanship in the Details

The finished kitchen demonstrates how much the details matter.

Warm wood cabinetry adds character while maintaining a clean, contemporary feel. Expansive countertops provide room for cooking, serving, and gathering. The central island anchors the space, while improved circulation creates a kitchen that feels noticeably more open and connected.

Each element contributes to the overall transformation, but it is the way those elements were brought together that makes the finished space feel cohesive.

The result is a kitchen that feels brighter, larger, and more welcoming while remaining true to the architecture and character of the home.

Collaboration From Start to Finish

One of the most rewarding aspects of the Stewart Residence remodel was the collaborative effort behind it.

Projects designed by architects and other design professionals require a builder who can understand the vision, communicate effectively, anticipate challenges, and execute the plans

with care. Noble House Construction values that partnership and the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals like Patti Buser.

The Stewart Residence demonstrates what can happen when homeowners, architect, builder, foreman, craftspeople, and trades all work toward the same goal.

The beautiful outcome is a credit to everyone involved.

A Transformation Worth Sharing

The before-and-after photos tell an impressive story, but they only show part of what went into this renovation.

Behind the finished kitchen were detailed plans, countless construction decisions, skilled hands, ongoing communication, and a shared commitment to getting the details right.

For Noble House Construction, the Stewart Residence represents an important part of what we do: bringing thoughtfully designed spaces to life through skilled construction and collaboration.

Whether working through our design-build process or partnering with an architect or designer on an already-established vision, our goal remains the same—to deliver exceptional craftsmanship while respecting the ideas, details, and intentions that make each project unique.

The Stewart Residence is a beautiful example of what that collaboration can achieve.
